Man Cave Upgrade for Fralicks Beach Home

Project Overview:

A new homeowner in the Fralicks Beach area needed an HVAC makeover to convert an indoor pool space into a cozy man cave. Our task was to transition the home’s heating system from propane to a more efficient natural gas setup.

Challenges:

  • Removing the old propane fireplace.
  • Installing a comprehensive natural gas system, including a furnace, ductwork, humidifier, gas line, and thermostat.
  • Ensuring seamless integration with future additions, such as an air conditioning system.

Solutions and Results:

Our skilled team successfully installed a natural gas furnace, providing an efficient heating solution for the renovated man cave. We also replaced the main house’s propane furnace with a natural gas unit and planned for a future water heater upgrade. These improvements significantly increased energy efficiency and comfort, setting the stage for a modern living experience with reduced utility costs.

Efficient Heat Upgrade for Car Wash Facility

Project Overview:
A local car wash faced issues with an outdated NTI boiler system, which struggled to maintain appropriate temperatures during extreme cold conditions.

Challenges:

  • Replacing the old boiler with a model that offers enhanced performance.
  • Redesigning the piping system for optimal and even heat distribution.
  • Ensuring the facility could maintain functionality in frigid weather conditions.

Solutions and Results:
We installed a new NTI boiler and revamped the piping configuration, significantly improving the system's efficiency. Adding a slab sensor and a tekmar controller with Wi-Fi capabilities allowed for better monitoring of outdoor temperatures, optimizing the heating curve. The 4-bay car wash, utility area, and surrounding concrete apron are now consistently kept between 2 and 3°C, preventing ice buildup even in temperatures as low as -30°C. This upgrade not only met but exceeded the client’s expectations, ensuring safety and operational continuity.
